Tips in listening
1 To make your listening skills more effective, you may use the following techniques:
(a) Be ready to listen
Listening for information is different from listening to music for pleasure or enjoyment.
Therefore, you have to direct all your attention to the reader or speaker.
(b) Put aside all your feelings or thoughts
This will help you not to lose your focus on what you are supposed to listen.
(c) Listen actively

Active listening involves you in the process of determining the right meaning of what is said.
It includes questioning and paraphrasing.
(d) Good listening
Good listening requires full concentration throughout. Do not let your mind wander.
