And just like that, another ESA Leadership Conference weekend is on the
books.
March 1-3 was a
weekend of laughter,
bonding, and lots
and lots of learning! In
the past few years we
have started shifting
the Leadership
Conference away
from being strictly
about preparing
future leaders for their one year as state president and more toward preparing future leaders of
ESA, in whatever capacity, for their year as a leader AND for a lifetime of leadership. Gone are
the days when Leadership was catered toward only the incoming state presidents. Now, anyone
interested in learning more about leadership – in any
capacity – will find information that they can bring
home. We are hoping we are training not just the
immediate incoming state leadership, but those who
are the future leaders as well!
Here are a few things that went on during Leadership:
Attendees learned to find their
personal “brand” and how they
can harness that in their ESA life
and beyond.
We had a very special Hope for
Heroes guest speaker, Leila, who
was a WWII nurse. (For more
information on Leila’s story see
the ESA Blog)
