exchanged and shared throughout the duration of this programme.
All the countries participating in this programme are “Friends of Malaysia”
and we value your friendship. We hope to forge stronger links with all of
you as our countries progress. There is a lot that we can share with each
other. In fact, our leaders have done so during the Langkawi International
Dialogue which was held last year in Putrajaya.
Malaysia has always been a willing partner when it comes to sharing our
development experience with our friends from the developing countries.
We also offer and provide training under the Malaysian Technical
Co-operation Programme (MTCP) to African countries as part of our
unwavering commitment towards the South-South Co-operation. More
than 2,000 participants from 136 member countries come to Malaysia
annually under the MTCP.
In 1991, Malaysia’s fourth Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad,
with whom all of you had a fruitful dialogue with yesterday, unveiled a
Keynote Address at the National Digital Conference 2012.
