SBR SBR Styrene-butadiene Good physical properties, including abrasion resistance.
Poor resistance to petroleum based fluids.
T Thiokol Organic polysulfide Outstanding solvent resistance and weathering resistance.
Other properties poor.
XLPE Cross-linked Polyethylene and Excellent chemical resistance with good heat and electrical
polyethylene cross linking agent properties.
XNBR Carboxylated Carboxylated acrylonitrile- Excellent oil and abrasion resistance.

acids, alkalis and solvents. Good abrasion and weathering
resistance.
UHMWPE Ultra high molecular Excellent resistance to a broad range of chemicals, excellent
weight polyethylene abrasion resistance.
PVC PVC Polyvinyl chloride Good weathering, moisture and flame resistance. General
resistance to alkalis and weak acids. Good abrasion
resistance.
Polyester Thermoplastic Good flex fatigue and low temperature properties. High
polyester resin resistance to deformation. Good resistance to abrasion,
chemicals, hydraulic fluids and aromatic fuels.
Thermoplastic Thermoplastic Good weather and aging resistance. Good for water and
Rubber polyolefins and block dilute acids and bases.
