The Executive Director of the Center for Export and
Investment of the Dominican Republic (CEI-RD), Dr.
Jean Alain Rodriguez details the country’s main
attractions for investing, during a conference titled
“Dominican Republic: Main Investment Destination
of the Region”.
Other related issues such as “The Dominican
Republic: an attractive and Competitive Business
Environment”, and “Towards a goal: 10 million
tourists”, will be discussed.
The topics related to the potential in energy
matter, agribusiness have been part of the aspects
analyzed in pursuit of identifying the business
potential that Dominican Republic offers to foreign
investors.
COLLABORATION TERMS
The Accredited Consular Corps in the Dominican
Republic (CCARD), the European Associations
Chambers of Commerce (EUROCAMARA), and
the chambers of commerce representing their
nations in the Dominican Republic, have actively
cooperated as agents promoting the “Invest in The
DR Summit”.
The concession was granted after the execution of
a Cooperation Agreement, previous to the summit,
by the representatives of CEI-RD, where Ms.
Sonia Villanueva Brower, dean of CCARD, and Mr.
Vincenzo Odoguardi, president of EUROCAMARA,
expressed their satisfaction for the initiative of
the Dominican Government to enhance the efforts
of engaging foreign investment. The director of
CEI-RD, Jean Alain Rodriguez, was congratulated
for his initiative.
COMMITMENT
CEI-RD, as the entity in charge of promoting
investment and exports of the Dominican Republic,
and as the official manager of Invest in DR, has
received the active participation of their highly
qualified technical team and the arrangements
to make a remarkable event possible, that has
engaged the interest of the most prominent
investors from very important businesses and
international corporations.
The Invest in the DR Summit 2014 is part
of the proactive promotion of the Dominican
Republic developed by CEI-RD. The President
of the Dominican Republic, Mr. Danilo Medina,
has demonstrated respect for rights of the
international businesses, and distinguishes the
great contributions these businesses make to the
economic and social development of the Dominican
Republic.
