COLORED PENCILS TEXTURES AND PATTERNS

Colored pencils give precision and tonal range; they can be faded but not erased. Lightly use an

HB graphite pencil if you wish to plan a design first. Pressed hard, colored pencils build up a waxy

finish of brilliant color. Used lightly, they appear powdery and show the texture of the paper.
