6.5 Welfare Project (Report by CC)
- Beneficiary shall be MHS retired teachers & MHS Alumni AM
- Two sub-committee meetings were held - 28th April and 27th May 2021
- The official name for this project: MAHSOPA Welfare Project
- The official name of the fund: Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Arshad Welfare Fund, in

tribute of Late President’s contributions to MAHSOPA

- The President shall contact the family of Tan Sri Abdul Rahman Arshad for

consent to use his name.

- A full sub-committee of the Welfare Project has been set up:

Head: Charlie Chua

Finance: Mokhlis Maizan
Secretary: Dr Dianne Cheong
Public Relations: Madelina Kuah, Lim Hock Siang
- Additional member Nazaruddin
- All other matters are on-going, any development and progress will be reported
accordingly.

6.6 Other Matters

Wildlife project
- NA updated on 13 species of migratory birds during his recce outing.
- AM suggested for NA to start a wildlife project under MAHSOPA focusing on migratory NA
bird population.

Scholarship Sub-Committee
- It was unanimously agreed that Madelina Kuah be approached to head the committee
due to her vast experience in school and PIBG involvement in Melaka.

- Signing MOU with Mahkota Medical Centre (MMC), Melaka – MAHSOPA members can AM/WL
enjoy certain discounts. To confirm which Sub-Committee to manage the project.

- President reminded all heads of projects that a copy of all correspondence to outside
parties using the MAHSOPA official letterhead need to be forwarded to the Secretary for
record and filing .

-There will be Committee Meetings before the AGM. The decided dates:

Annual General Meeting: Aug 28, 2021
- Secretary to write to Registrar of Society for extension for AGM till Sept 30, 2021
