But there is always be a but….. As, it had destroyed my personal life also. But then I realized that “it
is new normal”. I had to find a peaceful corner at my home to prepare my lessons and to take my
classes. But it was a difficult task for me as having a one and half year old kid. I found my roof most
suitable for it. According to my kid, “our roof is the school”. How funny it is, is’nt it? I can say
every home is a school now and every parent is a teacher.
In starting I used to check the work send by my children daily and I made a call to the child
whosoever was not submitting. After a week, I noticed a changed in the regularity of the work
submission by the children. It helped me to be motivated towards my job. As children are learning as
they are submitting their works.
I was a person who used phone at minimum level but this “new normal” made me to see my cell
phone in every minute because nobody knows….. may be a new notice or circular is waiting for me
to respond ………… hahaha!!!
I may be successful in motivating my children for this “new normal” in education but I am missing
the physical presence my children from my heart. Physical; schooling cannot be replaced with any
kind of online teaching. It is also very very true. I am missing the cute conversation with my lovely
children.
While online classes, first of all, I worked to teach my little kids about online etiquettes. For
example: wait until your turn to come.
At the end, I want to conclude that …… I am a teacher, I am not a frontline warrior according to
many but I am not less than them in any way!!
We are not on holidays during lockdown but even working harder than normal schooling to learn new
methods and techniques to engage our children.
At last, some lines are coming into my mind that were every common in initial days of lockdown …..
“ jisko nalak bachcha samajh ker kabi schools se nikal diya gaya ta , aaj wahi nikama bachcha
kaam aa raha h” ( dedicated to cell phones) !!
Thank you
