“Report on Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat”

It is a cultural & literary saga initiated by the Government of

India that aims to improve the present cultural connection across

various states. It is a program with a strong objective to enhance

interaction and promote mutual understanding between people of

different states and Union territories through the concept of state/

Union territory pairing.

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is a cultural& literary bonanza

celebrated virtually due to Covid 19 pandemic and in the session

2020-2021 the pairing state for the Bhopal region is Manipur.

Manipur, a state on the extreme eastern India sharing its border

with (Burma) originally a kingdom and later a princely state

under British rule. Manipur joined independent India in 1949

and was made a separate state in 1972.

Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat is an eye-catching program that is

being celebrated throughout the year with great fanfare and

enthusiasm. A year-round schedule of activities is planned to

enlighten the students of the cultural as well as the literary heritage

of Manipur in our state ie Madhya Pradesh. Our school has

many activities on virtual platform viz Manipuri Dance,

Manipuri Folk Song, Manipuri folklore Bhasha Sangam,

seminar, webinar, quiz, talking hour, etc. to promote a sustained

and structural cultural & literary connection in the areas of

language learning, culture, traditions & music, tourism& cuisine,

sports and sharing of best practices.
