“Why was he so moody all of a sudden?” asked Milan with a
confused voice.
“I have seen this type of person before,” said Ali “their
past is sad and tragic to the point of haunting them, they cannot
let go of the past without any help, how miserable.”
“Then we should help him!” replied Maya, sympathetically.
Deciding to change the mood Milan quickly replied,
“So that he won’t act like a gloomy cat through the journey.”
This brought a smile on her face and lightened the mood. After they
finished shopping for supplies they all headed to Zhēngqì’s room
to speak to him.
*Knock Knock*
“Who’s there?” said Zhēngqì with a sad tone in his voice.
“Zhēngqì, it’s us,” replied Ali “please allow us to help you.”
he said in an affirmative voice while opening the door slowly
They saw him in a state that the word miserable couldn’t
even be used to describe him. His eyes were red and bulging from
the tears rolling down his cheeks. “I… I…” He said with a raspy
voice.
“There’s no need to speak,” said Ali with a soothing voice
“we would talk later, when you feel better alright?”
Zhēngqì nodded slowly and fell back deep into a slumber.
