The fourth Golden Ticket was found by a boy called Mike
Teavee. He seemed extremely annoyed by the excited
visitors and the reporters interviewing him. “Can’t you
fools see I’m watching television?” he said angrily.
“I wish you wouldn’t interrupt!” He was a boy who did
nothing but watch television.
The fifth Golden Ticket was found by Charlie Bucket.
Unlike the four winners, he was honest, respectful,
giving, and caring. He loved his family so much he
was willing to sell the ticket to raise money for his
family. He was undernourished but refused to take an
extra portion of food because it would deprive another
member of the family.
These children are famous because they found the prized tickets to Willy
Wonka’s factory. Visitors and reporters all wanted to have a look at the
Golden Ticket and interview the children.
If you are a reporter, list five questions you would ask the children.
Then, role-play the situation.
