Inter-governmental Committee (ICC)
• According to Mohd Noor Abdullah, the Sabah State
Legislative Council on 12 September 1962 approved a motion
to accept the decision to establish Malaysia on 31 August
1963 with specific conditions and guarantees to the rights of
the state of Sabah.
• The motion also decided on the representatives from Sabah
who would be in the IGC. A similar step was taken by Sarawak
on 26 September 1962. The IGC held 24 meetings, including
12 subcommittee meetings, and the last meeting was held on
20 December 2012 in Kuala Lumpur.
