Chapter 5: Transformation

             B-BBEE: ENTERPRISE AND SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT

Nimble understands the importance of Enterprise and Supplier Development in leading to sustainable
transformation through its ripple effect into society and the economy.

The nature of Nimble’s business is that the bulk of procurement spend tends to be with large institutional
suppliers including banks and telecommunication services providers. Excluding these suppliers, less than
30% of our procurement spend remains available for placement with other suppliers.

Immediate initiatives that will contribute positively to Enterprise and Supplier Development:

                                Outsource to an EDC

Identify a Black-owned External Debt Collector (“EDC”) to bring on-board and
                                outsource work to.

Nimble outsources debt collections work on its acquired assets to a panel of
EDC’s, and we aim to place such work with a suitable Black-owned EDC:
To enhance the outcomes for this supplier, a preferential commission
structure will be put in place and payment of invoices will be expedited
(weekly or within 7 days of invoice).
Nimble can further support the growth by placing more work with the
                                  business as it scales up.

This will give the EDC confidence to grow, knowing that Nimble will provide
more work to support the growth.

                                Establish a new business

Identify a suitable Black party to provide Nimble with premises related services.

Nimble operates from two large premises in Johannesburg and would support
this new Black business to develop by:

Providing start-up advice and capital for all necessary equipment.
Placing all Nimble related premises work with the new business.
Assisting in promoting the business to grow its client base.
Processing the new business’s payroll at no charge.
                                  Providing preferential payment terms.

                               Improve transformation of existing suppliers

Many of Nimble’s key suppliers are not yet adequately transformed.
Nimble has embarked on a process of engaging actively with these suppliers to
ensure their full buy-in to the objectives of transformation.
