B-BBEE SOCIO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
SA YES Mentoring
SA Yes focusses its activities around young people
living in children’s homes in South Africa. Most of
these young people were placed in homes of safety
due to severely dysfunctional family circumstances
that left them effectively stranded.
The organisation supports young people as they
transition out of the safety of children’s homes
through extensive mentoring programs where
mentors are matched with youths. Currently over
100 such mentor-mentee matches are made each
year.
This resonates strongly with Nimble and we are
proud to support this valuable initiative. We provide
operating premises and support to SA Yes at our
Brickfield Call Centre in Cape Town.
JB Marks Education Trust Fund
The JB Marks Fund is an initiative run by the
Mineworkers Investment Company.
In 2018 the Fund celebrated 21 years of
capacity building through education and has
produced 1121 graduates since its inception.
This year they have 330 young beneficiaries in
their Trust.
