Abstract

Global warming causes by the rising up of the temperature on the earth’s surface which results from the
ineffective garbage management, particular garbage incineration. The garbage disposal problem is
mainly caused by lack of people’s awareness. The purpose of this research is to increase people’s
knowledge on the garbage segregation which leaches to reducing the garbage disposal problem.
Developing a game is a suitable solution, particular in transfer knowledge to all young kids. Therefore,
“Let’s Pick Up Garbage” is developed in order to provide knowledge of garbage types and entertain the
kids at the same time. It is implemented based on the unity game engine. There are two levels in this
game. Each of them would provide both entertain and knowledge on garbage types. The performance
of this game has been done by the pre-test and post-test on thirty players Results show that the
knowledge of these players is increased. However, the design criteria of this game maybe need to
improve due to the satisfaction of players is less than 50%. Perhaps, other technologies such as
simulation and virtual reality, can be integrated in further study.
