                   Check system, stopcocks.  Eliminate excess tubing. Eliminate excess stopcocks.
                Treatment  Try different catheter tip position.








                   Follow routine, systematic steps for   pressure measurement. Avoid excessive catheter length in  ventricle.  Minimize number of stopcocks.


                Prevention  Use shortest tubing possible ( 3-4 ft).
