(a) Nyatakan harga bagi 1 meter dawai tersebut.
State the price of 1 metre of the wire.

(b) Jika Encik Zahir membayar dengan 2 keping wang kertas RM10 dan 2 keping wang kertas RM5, berapakah
baki wangnya? Nyatakan baki tersebut dalam bilangan wang kertas dan syiling yang mungkin diterimanya.
If Encik Zahir pays with 2 pieces of RM10 notes and 2 pieces of RM5 notes, what is the balance of his money? State the balance in the number
of notes and coins that he might receive.

The total money paid by Encik Zahir
= RM10 × 2 + RM5 × 2
= RM20 + RM10
= RM30

= RM30 – RM28.75
= RM1.25
Encik Zahir mungkin menerima sekeping wang kertas RM1, sekeping syiling 20 sen dan sekeping syiling
5 sen. (atau mana-mana jawapan yang setara)
Encik Zahir might receive a piece of RM1 note, a 20 sen coin and a 5 sen coin. (or any equivalent answer)

(c) Semasa jualan hujung tahun, pelanggan boleh mendapat diskaun 20% daripada jumlah pembelian yang
melebihi RM50. Jika Encik Zahir membeli 9 m dawai, adakah dia layak untuk memperoleh diskaun tersebut?
Jika ya, berapakah harga baharu dawai yang dibelinya?
During the year-end sale, customer can get 20% off the total purchase which exceeds RM50. If Encik Zahir buys 9 m of wire, is he eligible for
the discount? If so, what is the new price of the wire he buys?

= RM51.75 tentukan sama ada harga itu melebihi
Encik Zahir layak mendapat diskaun tersebut. RM50 atau tidak.
Encik Zahir is eligible for the discount. Find the total price of 9 m of wire and determine
whether the price is more than RM50.

The new price of the wire jika diskaun diberi.
= (100% – 20%) × RM51.75 Find the new price of the wire after discount if the
discount is given.
= 80% × RM51.75
= 80 × RM51.75
