Conclusion: Reflection of The “Big Book” project teaches Durrani to recogniseand
learning experience use alphabets to introduce her family members.Parental
cooperation is needed in completing the project.
Teachers provide flexibility to parents in terms of time
and ideas to implement the project. Parents are
encouraged to do activities together with the
children.They should ask simple questions about the
family, such as, how to address the parents and
siblings.The parents should also spell the alphabet with
the children while doing the “Big Book” project.
Recognizing alphabet is a prerequisite skill for future
literacy instruction. Children with special needs would
require more time and direct instruction to acquireletter
