Impact of Lockdown on Student Life
Shivam Banerjee
Yes, the lockdown. It was a horrible time wasn’t it? It took away our right to choose. No
going to school, no playing outside, couldn’t eat outside food and what not. All we could
do was sit at home and hope for some good news about the end of the lockdown. But
now, it seems like the lockdown would’ve been a solution as we can see an unstable
increase in the COVID-19 cases. This COVID-19 and lockdown is a story by itself, but the
difference is:
1. That this story starts from the beginning of human realization of knowledge having both
good and bad uses.
2. This story teaches us thousands of morals just like Ramayana and Mahabharata,

But as a student, the lockdown affected us both physically and mentally at the same
time positively and negatively. In India, over 32 crore students were hit by COVID-19 as
schools and colleges were closed. It was as if we were witnessing a historical event and
people were getting impatient. The seconds became hours, the hours became days, the
days became…. well you know the rest. On the bright side, we learnt patience. Patience

Well, this time has surely worn us out a little, but we must not give up because things are
going to get tougher and we must survive it and all we have is us.
