                           Shivam Banerjee

Yes, the lockdown. It was a horrible time wasn’t it? It took away our right to choose. No
going to school, no playing outside, couldn’t eat outside food and what not. All we could
do was sit at home and hope for some good news about the end of the lockdown. But
now, it seems like the lockdown would’ve been a solution as we can see an unstable
increase in the COVID-19 cases. This COVID-19 and lockdown is a story by itself, but the
                           difference is:

                           1. That this story starts from the beginning of human realization of knowledge having both
                           good and bad uses.
                           2. This story teaches us thousands of morals just like Ramayana and Mahabharata,
but the catch is that the there is no war and we were sitting in our houses and here
                           enemy is invisible.

But as a student, the lockdown affected us both physically and mentally at the same
time positively and negatively. In India, over 32 crore students were hit by COVID-19 as
schools and colleges were closed. It was as if we were witnessing a historical event and
people were getting impatient. The seconds became hours, the hours became days, the
days became…. well you know the rest. On the bright side, we learnt patience. Patience
is such a thing that cannot be attained from outside forces. If compared, we learnt Source: Internet
patience rather easily than others. We also developed new hobbies, many of them
being cooking, singing, drawing etc. The lockdown not only benefited students but all In present situation in which the entire world is in the grasp of
the people on the earth as it reduced the spread of COVID-19 to quite an extent. this pandemic, I think the following quotation by Kobiguru
It also reduced air pollution; the migratory birds came back to the cities increasing Rabindranath Tagore

It also gave us a chance to spend quality time with our family which is very difficult in
today’s world. It also helped to fix relationships which benefited many people. But on the
dangers but to be fearless in facing them.

                                                                                                                                        is apt.
Well, this time has surely worn us out a little, but we must not give up because things are
going to get tougher and we must survive it and all we have is us.
