usually can be done by repeating measurements with
time. The absolute and changes in moisture condition
is important parameters essential in certain hydrology
investigations. Determination of absolute and change
of moisture content are for [?]:

1. Ensuring the amount of water in storage between
the surface and the water table

2. Calculating rates of infiltration of precipitation and
irrigation water

3. Calculating consumption of water by plants or
animals and evaporation from the soil

4. Monitoring compaction of soil as a function of
moisture content, more compacted soil will re-
duced the flow rate of water.
