Clinical Manifestations
1. Sudden shortness of breath
2. Tachypnoea (fast breathing)
3. Cough
4. Pleuritic chest pain (breathing exacerbates pain)
5. Haemoptysis (haemoptysis) occurs when an infarction occurs.
6. In serious cases, cyanosis (on the lips and fingers), fainting and unstable
blood flow. About 15% of cases of pulmonary embolism will be fatal.
