d. To express, conceptualize, and apply theories, concepts and perceptions in addressing community
issues in society.

e. To participate in creative and critical discussions of cultural and societal problems and issues.
These include:

i. Ability to appreciate aesthetical and civilizational dimensions in human development.

ii. Ability to question existing paradigms and perceptions in society with the aim of seeking
alternative ways of understanding and explaining.

f. Apply intellectual imagination to select and conceptualize understanding and explanation about
human behaviors at micro level in historical and structure contexts while at the same time able to
put forward understandings and explanations in local and global discourses.

g. To continue life-long learning skills and play a proactive role in society by participating in
discussions of societal issues.

h. To be flexible in incorporating social science knowledge into the needs of today’s world. In this
context, students are able to apply social science perspectives for the advancement of social well-
being in either corporate, industrial, public or private sectors without neglecting ethical and
humanitarian aspects

i. To apply skills acquired to meet the demands of daily life.
