offerings – whether it’s Blueprint for Wellness for a health snapshot, QHerit for family planning,
MyQuest as personal health app, the Promise Trail for Multiple Myeloma risk awareness or PrEP
treatments for partners of HIV patients. Word of mouth is powerful and here’s why: It is critically
important for ABL members to be aware of what WE do at Quest, even beyond our day-to-day jobs.

At Quest, we support healthy life choices with HealthyQuest. What’s one thing you’ve
personally found to be helpful for good health?
Blueprint for Wellness is an excellent way to get a snapshot of your health annually through a
biometric wellness screening. It allows for comparisons to previous years and provides a foundation
to develop action plans to improve your well-being. A big perk is that it’s free for employees and their
spouse/domestic partner. Also, you can lower your medical plan deductions from your paycheck if
you meet in-range values. It’s a win-win. I was surprised to learn that there are still a good number of
employees that do not take advantage of this benefit. I do not understand why. My husband and I
have participated every year since I joined Quest. This year’s program is right around the corner—it
        starts on September 3!

Do you have a motto or personal mantra that encourages you to thrive?
I am inspired and energized by the words of the Bible. One of my favorite scriptures is
Philippians 4:13 (Modern English Version): “I can do all things because of Christ who strengthens
me.” This mantra encourages me to keep striving forward knowing I have the support of a Higher
        Power.

Juneteenth commemorates the ending of slavery for African-Americans. How do you see the
        black community progressing?
We have absolutely made major progress as a community since the end of slavery. In many respects,
the ABL is a testament to that progress. We continue to experience many ground-breaking firsts in
various aspects of life and society, but we still have some ways to go before we arrive at Dr. Martin
Luther King Jr.’s Dream in all aspects of the United States of America, where:

        • …this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: “We hold these truths to be
self-evident, that all men are created equal.”

        • …little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin
but by the content of their character.

How has working at Quest and being part of the ABL network allowed you to develop
        personally and professionally?
Being a part of ABL has given me the opportunity to learn more about the Quest service offerings,
enhance my leadership capabilities and develop relationships with other business leaders across the
organization well beyond my role in finance.
