strategies for empowering student-led distance to learn and discover in
learning and using tech to provide educational equity
and meet the needs of our communities.
During COVID, we revamped our program organizing
our first online conference, COVID Connect, featuring a
keynote by SF Human Rights Exec Dir Sheryl Davis and
workshops allowing attendees to understand the
impact of COVID and help those most in need in our
communities, including data analysis with Johns
Hopkins COVID data and fabricating CAD face shields.
Since our transition from in person, hands-on STEM
workshops to ones offered in the online space, we've
increased our number of youth served compared to
previous years in person and developed an
understanding of how to make virtual events
interactive and engaging. Come to our workshop to
learn how to captivate the minds of young people by
creating an immersive learning experience in virtual or
in-person environments.
