This workshop will include an overview of makerspace
implementation at City College of San Francisco and
other educational organizations. Participants will learn
about physical and digital makerspaces, curriculum,
and projects that highlight opportunities for teaching
and learning in the areas of STEM, STEAM, CTE, and
entrepreneurship. The workshop will share best
practices for establishing spaces with a variety of
NextGen tools for teaching and learning, as well as
strategies for recruitment of future teachers. This
workshop will highlight the importance of prioritizing
diversity and inclusion when developing makerspace
offerings.
