CHECK IN PEOPLE FOR THE NURSERY/PRESCHOOL – Looking for volunteers to check young ones in at the 9:00
service (8:45-9:10) and for the 10:30 service (10:15-10:40). Talk to Gail if you can serve in this way. You will not
miss your favorite service – just the announcements.

5/12 FELLOWSHIP – Rebeccah and I both thank all of you who supported the Compassion International children we
support, Marisol and Wood. Great success due to the Savoy UMC family!!! Our next fellowship sponsorship is
August 25.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL - July 15-18 5:30-8:00 pm “ROAR” - everything is going forward with the Holy Spirit

leading it. We have great volunteers who are signed up to serve. Thank you. We would love more Crew Leaders
for the children. A crew leader is responsible for taking 5-6 children around to the stations where they will learn
about Jesus. You get to know the children and spend time with them. You never know what child is in desperate
need for the love you can give them. You do NOT need to be a member of the church to do this. If you have a
friend/friends who loves children and would be interested send them my way.

We are collecting water bottle caps, popsicle sticks, rubber bands, bottles of bubbles and some other things may be
needed

BLESSING OF BACKPACKS AND 3 GRADE BIBLES is August 11. Any child going into 3 grade will receive an Action
Bible. Let Gail know so she has enough Bibles.

OCTOBER is bullying month. Christine Leeb will be here Friday, October 11, 6-8pm to speak about the real truth
and pain this causes in our children. Everyone should come whether you have children or not. This is something

you can share with others for prevention!

OCTOBER 26 is Trunk or Treat from 4-6pm. We are accepting donations of candy now. Please think about being a

part of this by opening your trunk and giving candy.
