Evolution of

Connecting Learners with Community Programme

VMFT has a mission to use knowledge
to empower people to bring about
improvement in their lives, as well as
in society through changes in attitudes,
behavior and practice. Adolescents and
youth can act as effective agents of
positive change in the society. Schools
play an important role in the development
of young people, not only through the
formal curriculum but also through
other activities. VMFT was engaged in
professional training for teachers from
2007 to 2012 with major funding from Sir
Ratan Tata Foundation Trust. The former
President (Late) Dr. N. A. Karim was an
educationist and the present President
Prof. V. K. Damodaran is a known science
education expert. The Vice Chairperson
of Foundation Dr. Sajitha Bashir, world
recognised education expert serving in
higher position in World Bank, pays lot
of interest to Foundation’s educational
programme. Her visionary thoughts
always gave directions to the education
programmes of Vakkom Moulavi
Foundation Trust.
