1. The Peace Preservation Act (1867) -
detain and deport convicted Chinese

immigrants.

2. The Ordinance for the Suppression of

Dangerous Societies (1869) - all societies
with more than 10 members to be

registered with the Police Commissioner

3. The Societies Ordinance (1890) -

outlawing all societies that engage in triad
rituals.
