Econosoft Acoustic Barrier

Econosoft acoustic barrier (5422) should be
used with every Thermofoil PRO installation.
ACOUSTICS AND The Econosoft layer provides cushioning for

the heating cables and acts as an abrasion
layer to protect the heating elements from any
wear that could be caused by movement in a
floating floor build up.

Econosoft also has acoustic properties and the
cushioning layer will reduce impact sound by
as much as 21dB when used with a suitable
underlay such as our rigid insulation board
(5400).

below the floor finish, impact sound is absorbed
and noise pollution is greatly reduced.

Vapour Barrier is an alternative for Econosoft
Acoustic Barrier that prevents the heating
from draining the moisture out of the floor. It
also acts as an abrasion layer, however does
not have any acoustic properties.
