                Tiny figures on the walkway show the
                scale of Yellowstone’s Grand Prismatic
              Spring—one of the largest hot springs on
               Earth. In the blue center, water bubbles
                up from below ground at up to 188°F
                 (87°C). As the water spreads it cools,
                 allowing the growth of microbes that
                      vary in color depending on the
                          temperature of the water.
