The Cruising Association

exploded in North Germany could anyone help? Within 24 hours the HLR
had visited the boat and sorted the problem, a priceless service.
To keep a Register of Boatmen who will take charge of members' yachts
during the absence of the owners at recognised charges. Sadly, no. While
important in the early 20th century this is not relevant now.
To keep a Register of Owners who are prepared to take amateur crews
aboard their craft. Definitely yes. The CA has a crewing service whereby
skippers can find crews and crews can find
         skippers. Here is an example,

         Crew wanted, Cuba to Maine
Crew wanted for the passage from Havana, Cuba
to Camden, Maine on board Novara, a unique
         Aero Rigged Schooner.
Depart end May for 7 to 10 day passage.

If I were foot loose and fancy free I would jump The original yearbook.
at this opportunity and two members did. If you
are a skipper and need crew for any reason or if you are looking for an
opportunity to go sailing this is a wonderful service.

To issue a handbook containing tide-tables and
other information useful for cruising. Again yes,
the CA almanac is still very popular and preferred
by many to the alternative Reeds. Sales this year
are better than ever suggesting a confidence in
cruising next year. And it does contain tide tables.

To encourage and popularise yachting in every
way, And to give facilities to beginners and others
