PEYZAJ MIMARLIĞI EĞITIMINDE FARKLI BIR ANLATIM TEKNIĞI:
SOYUT MAKETLER

Peyzaj mimarlığı, mimarlık, iç mimarlık vb. tasarım disiplinlerinin eğitiminde kullanılan görsel anlatım tekniklerinden
biri maket yapımıdır. Bu çalışmada maket olgusu araştırılarak, farklı bir teknik olan soyut maket yapımı incelenmiş ve
sanatsal-estetik açıdan pozitif etkilerine vurgu yapılmıştır. Çünkü peyzaj mimarlığı eğitiminde kullanılan görsel anlatım
teknikleri genellikle gerçekçi görselleştirmelerdir ve tekniklerin soyutlandığı çalışmalar oldukça azdır. Bu bağlamda
çalışmada, peyzaj mimarlığı bölümlerinde çok büyük önemi bulunan çevre tasarım proje eğitiminde farklı anlatım
teknikleri ile ifade edilen maketler soyutlanmıştır. Uygulamada; Karadeniz Teknik Üniversitesi Peyzaj Mimarlığı Bölümü
eğitiminde tüm yarıyıllarda verilen “Çevre Tasarım ve Proje” derslerinde araştırmacıların stüdyolarında yapılan öğrenci
maketleri ele alınmıştır. Bu ders öğrencilere; ergonomik ve estetik açıdan kullanıcı ihtiyaçlarıyla örtüşen açık mekânlar
yaratmayı öğretmeyi amaçlayan temel derstir. Seçilen etkinlik ile bütünleşen, uygun ölçü ve biçimde estetik açık mekânlar
tasarlanması proje derslerinin hedefini oluşturur. Her proje dönemi kapsamında öğrencilere farklı bir çalışma alanı ve
konusu verilmiş, buna bağlı olarak dönem boyu gelişen tasarımların maketle ifade edilmesi istenmiştir. Dersin sorumluları
bu aşamada, öğrencilere soyut maket tekniği hakkında bilgi vermiş ve bu teknikle maket yaptırmıştır. İlk aşamada; ders
kapsamında öğrencilerin yaptığı soyut maketler renk, tür ve estetik açıdan incelenmiştir. İkinci aşamada ise uzmanlarla
anket çalışması yapılmış; soyut maket tekniğinin tasarımcı ve sanatçılar açısından nasıl algılandığı sorgulanmıştır. Böylece
soyut maket tekniğinin estetik ve sanat değeri belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Çalışmada öğrencilerin; sanat ve estetik değeri
yüksek soyut maketler geliştirdiği ortaya konmuştur. Sonuç olarak; tasarım ve yaratıcılık süreçlerini içeren tüm disiplinlerde
olduğu gibi Peyzaj Mimarlığı eğitim programlarında da öğrenciye tasarım becerisi kazandırmaya yönelik yaratıcı ve sanatsal
teknikler önemlidir, bu nedenle soyut maket tekniği tasarım programları için bir alternatif olarak değerlendirilmelidir.

A DIFFERENT PRESENTATION TECHNIQUE IN THE LANDSCAPE
ARCHITECTURE EDUCATION: ABSTRACT MODELS

One of the techniques about visual presentation used in the education of design disciplines like landscape architecture,
architecture, interior architecture, etc. is model making. In this study abstract model making technique, which is a different
technique was investigated and the positive effects of artistic and aesthetics were emphasized. Because the techniques
of visual presentation used in landscape architecture education are usually realistic visualizations and the studies that
abstract techniques are very few. In this context, in the environmental design project education, which has a great
importance in the landscape architecture sections, the models expressed by different narrative techniques are abstracted.
In practice; In the course of “Environmental Design and Project” given in all semesters in Karadeniz Technical University
Department of Landscape Architecture Department, student models built in the researchers’ studios were discussed. This
course is for students; ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing to create open space that overlaps with user needs. Designing
aesthetic open spaces of appropriate size and shape, integrated with the selected activity, is the goal of the project courses.
Within the scope of each project period, students were given a different work area and topic, and accordingly the designs
developed during the period were required to be expressed in models. At this stage, the students are informed about the
abstract model technique and made the model with this technique. First stage; Abstract models made by students in the
course were examined in terms of color, type and aesthetics. In the second stage, a survey was conducted with experts. It
was questioned how the abstract model technique was perceived in terms of designers and artists. Thus, the aesthetic and
artistic values of the abstract model technique have been tried to be determined. In the study, art and aesthetics value have
been developed to show high abstract models. As a result; creative and artistic techniques are important to give student
design skills in Landscape Architecture education programs as well as in all disciplines including design and creativity
processes, and therefore abstract modeling techniques should be considered as an alternative for design programs.
