KAPSÜL GARDIROP: SADE, AZ ve TEKRAR

Minimalizm akımı ortaya çıktığı 6019’lardan bu yana plastik sanatlar başta olmak üzere tiyatro, dans, müzik ve
mimari gibi sanatın tüm dallarını etkilemiştir. Ayrıca minimalizm, dekorasyondan mobilyaya, aksesuardan modaya
hayatın her alanına girerek adeta bir yaşam felsefesine dönüşmüştür.
Minimalizm, nesneyi en temel biçimiyle geometrik formlara dönüştürmekte ve “sade, az ve tekrar” temeline dayanan
estetik bir anlayışı benimsemektedir. Bu estetik anlayış “Az aslında çoktur” sözü ile Moda’ya da yansımaktadır. Bu
bağlamda, ihtiyaç duyulan en temel parçalardan oluşan “Kapsül Gardırop” ilginç bir örnek olarak dikkat çekmektedir.
Genellikle tek tip kıyafetten oluşan “Kapsül Gardırop”un; Einstein, Steve Jobs, Christopher Nolan, Cem Yılmaz ve
Acun Ilıcalı gibi birçok kişi tarafından tercih edildiği ve bu kişilerin neredeyse her gün aynı kıyafetleri giydikleri
görülmektedir.
Bu çalışma, Minimalizm akımı ile moda arasındaki ilişkiyi “Kapsül Gardırop” örneği üzerinden incelemektedir.
Çalışmada betimsel yöntem kullanılarak literatür taraması yapılmış ve kapsül dolabı tercih eden kişilerin giyim stilleri
incelenmiştir. Çalışma sonunda “Kapsül Gardırop”ı sahip kişilerin sahip olabileceği avantaj ve dezavantajlar açıklanmış
ve “Kapsül Gardırob”un moda açısından gerekliliği hakkında öneriler sunulmuştur.

CAPSULE WARDROBE: PLAIN, MINIMAL and RE-WORN

Since the 1960s, when the current of minimalism emerged, it has influenced all branches of art such as theater,
dance, music and architecture, especially plastic arts. In addition, minimalism has transformed into a philosophy of life
by entering into every aspect of life from decoration to furniture and accessories to fashion.
Minimalism transforms the object into geometric forms in its most basic form and adopts a sense of aesthetics
based on “plain, minimal and re - worn”. This sence is also reflected in fashion with the word “It is actually a lot”. In
this context, the Capsule Cupboard which is formed the most basic parts needed has attracted a great deal attention as
interesting example. “Capsule Wardrobe” consisting mostly of uniform clothes has been preferred by many people like
Einstein, Steve Jobs, Christopher Nolan, Cem Yılmaz and Acun Ilıcalı and it has seen that these people wear the same
clothes almost every day.
This study examines the relationship between the current of Minimalism and fashion through the example of a
“Capsule Wardrobe”. In the study, literature review has done using descriptive method and clothing styles of those who
prefer a capsule cabinet has been examined. At the end of the study, the advantages and disadvantages of the “Capsule
Wardrobe” have been explained and suggestions about the necessity of “Capsule Wardrobe” in terms of fashion have
been presented.
