argumentation, or recognition of inherent tradeoffs. In other words, the
comment demonstrates some reflective thinking.
EXTRA CREDIT
Each student is encouraged to participate in the following activities during the course of
the spring semester. The listed activities will be applied as extra credit points toward your
class participation grade. Each student must present to the instructor written
confirmation from visits to the success center and CTE counselor.

Your attendance is important and valuable to the class. If you miss class please notify
me. Absences that are excusable: a death in the family, medical emergency, family
medical emergencies. If an emergency does arise, please notify me. You can email or

Please be professional with all communication. When communicating with any
instructor, always include the course name and section- this class for example: “CJ51” as
the subject in the email, and include your full name and student identification number.
