                       Mechanism
                   •  Dec.SA node automaticity

                   •  ↓ AV conduction (↑ vagal)



               uses:


               supraventricular dysrhythmia (Atrial fibrillation, Atrial flutter)




                   •  For those cases   Atrial fibrillation, Atrial flutter  β-blockers and
                       calcium channel blockers are usually preferred  Due to rapid onset of
                       action and greater degree of AV nodal blockade


                   •  How ever Digoxin is sometime used   does not cause as much

                       bradycardia as β-blockers and it does not reduce cardiac contractility as
                       much as calcium channel blockers
