Measures for International Flights Arriving at
Samui Airport
10. Infectious waste disposal
Infectious waste containers are provided within the international arrival hall and all
operational staff have to bring their PPE and dispose in the designated areas only. The
containers contain two garbage bags for infectious waste and will be tightly sealed by a
rope. On each operational shift, cleaning staff need to inform the Administrative
Department of Samui Airport to contact Bangkok Hospital Samui officers to collect the
infectious waste. Cleaning staff will record information of the waste handover process.
Bangkok Hospital Samui is responsible for proper disposal of healthcare-related waste
gathering from the airport and the hospital.
