SAMUI MODEL
Measures for International Flights Arriving
at Samui Airport and Airline Passenger
Management
1. Arrival hall
1.1 Ground service officers check the number of arriving passengers of each flight
and prepare the required number of airport shuttles in order to maintain social
distance on board.
1.2 Ground service officers guide passengers to sit on designated seats on the
shuttles (as shown with signs). One shuttle seat can share up to 2-3 passengers.
Officers should check and ensure all passengers wear face masks on the shuttles
at all times.
1.3 Airport staff stand by in front of the arrival hall. When the airport shuttles arrive,
staff will inform passengers to prepare required documents to the Passenger
Screening Unit for entering Ko Samui.
1.4 Airport staff oversee social distancing control and congestion control within the
building.
1.5 Airport staff at the arrival hall should check frequently and ensure all passengers
wear face masks all the time while staying in the arrival hall.
1.6 Operational staff in the arrival hall must wear protective equipment including
face masks, gloves, face shields and PPE clothing.
1.7 To assist passengers with special needs, special services officers (LPWCHR) have
to follow the procedures below:
- Officers wear PPE which includes PPE clothing, gloves, face masks and
glasses as they have to closely assist or have a body contact with passengers.
- Equipment that has been used such as wheelchairs will be cleaned thoroughly
after service.
- Officers will assist passengers, following the SOP, through all MOPH’s health
screening process.
1.8 To assist VIP passengers, related officers have to follow the procedures below:
- Officers wear PPE which include face masks, gloves (necessary) and other
appropriate equipment.
- Officers will assist passengers, following the SOP, through all MOPH’s health
screening process.
