2. The vice chair shall attend administrative meetings with the chair and shall help advise the chair on the priorities and
proceedings of the committee.
C. The secretary;
1. The student shall be responsible for all correspondence and minutes of the Curriculum Committee, and shall be
responsible for ensuring records and documents related to the work of the committee are saved digitally for access by
future committees.
D. The chair of the House President’s Association
E. An Ada Comstock Scholars' representative or appointee.
F. One to three student Residence Life staff members shall be selected by the Office of Residence Life.
G. Up to three senators, elected by the senate.
H. Three to five students shall be appointed in the spring by the Committee on Elections and Appointments for a term of one year
I. One to three first year students shall be appointed in the fall by the Committee on Elections and Appointments for a term of one
year
J. Additional members may be appointed by the Committee on Elections and Appointments at the request of the chair.
SECTION 2. DUTIES AND POWERS OF THE STUDENT LIFE COMMITTEE
A. To appoint committees, ad hoc or permanent, to investigate suggestions and implement programs regarding student life.
B. To advocate for changes to the Code of Conduct.
C. To keep the senate and campus at large informed about issues related to college policy and procedure.
D. To act as a student voice and consultant in the administrative decision-making process.
E. To help address concerns that may arise about jurisdiction related to the Student Government Association Grant of Powers.
F. The Committee shall conduct regular outreach efforts such as surveys or tabling to gather input and opinions from the student
body to aid in agenda setting and decision making. The Committee shall be responsible for representing the opinions of the
campus community at large, rather than relying solely on the opinions of its members.
