ITS provides academic and administrative computing resources to the college. Through the campuswide network, students have access to the
academic UNIX systems, email, software servers, the library online catalogue, the internet and other information resources. ITS maintains
computer resource centers in Seelye Hall, Wright Hall and Bass Hall, providing students with access to the latest Macintosh and Windows
Computers. Computer resource centers in the Quad and Washburn are available 24 hours a day. The User Support Center in Stoddard Hall
provides phone and walk-in help for all systems and software supported by Information Technology Services.
Inclusion, Diversity and Equity

The office of inclusion, diversity and equity serves the Smith community of students, employees and alumnae. The office has overall
responsibility for the implementation and evaluation of the college’s affirmative action and equal opportunity programs, including Title IX. It
also serves as the liaison with the regulatory agencies for all civil rights matters and will assist in the investigation of discrimination,
recommending appropriate corrective action as necessary. Staff in the office of inclusion, diversity and equity are available to assist students
with concerns or questions about bias or discrimination.

The International Students Office provides information and advice to international students on all matters pertaining to immigration, visas,
foreign travel, passports, work authorization, practical training programs and personal and financial problems. The office works to assess the
needs of international students and facilitate their smooth transition to life at Smith by providing a pre-orientation program (ISP) and ongoing
programs such as banking and finance, work authorization, publications, vacation housing, social events and international clubs.

The Jacobson Center for Writing, Teaching and Learning helps students develop academic skills. Students at all levels work with the center's
writing counselors to improve drafts of their papers. The center can also provide a tutor for a student having difficulty in almost any course in
the curriculum. The center offers general study counseling and workshops in time management and other topics.

With more than 1.4 million items, the Smith College Libraries form one of the largest undergraduate libraries in the country. Library staff
work actively with all Smith students to help them take full advantage of these rich and diverse collections.

Multicultural Affairs, Office of

This office addresses the needs and concerns of undergraduate students of color. As the coordinator of the Bridge Pre-orientation Program,
the director of multicultural affairs assists incoming students of color in their transition to the Smith community, and links students to
communities within and outside the college. The Office of Multicultural Affairs also coordinates a range of cultural programs to enrich
campus life and advises the nine Unity student organizations.
Museum of Art

The museum reopened to the public on April 27 with a brand new installation of its permanent collection, and a slate of nine exhibitions and
groupings. The museum had been closed since 1999 for renovation and expansion.
