Internet Explorer
For most purposes, Microsoft Edge (Chapter 9) is the Microsoft web
browser you should use. It’s much faster, sleeker, and more secure than the
Cro-Magnon browser Internet Explorer that came before it. (Or, better yet,
use Google’s Chrome browser.)
But just in case there’s some legacy reason why you’re still married to a
program that was born in 1995, Microsoft tucks it in here, in the Windows
Accessories folder.
Math Input Panel
This unsung little freebie (Figure 8-35) is intended for an elite group
indeed: mathematicians with touchscreen computers. You’re supposed to
write out math equations using your finger or a stylus and marvel as
Windows translates your handwriting into a typed-out mathematical
expression. (You can use this program with a mouse; it just might feel a
little odd.)
