Michael: When is your birthday?
Tanjōbi wa itsu desu ka.

誕生日はいつですか。
Sato: April 7th.

Shi-gatsu nano-ka desu.
四月七日です。

Michael: It’s exactly (during) the cherry blossom viewing season, isn’t it?
Chōdo hanami no shīzun desu ne.

ちょうど花見のシーズンですね。

Michael’s office celebrates Ms. Sato’s birthday during its Hanami party.

Michael: Happy birthday! How old are you now?
Tanjōbi, omedetō. Nan-sai ni natta no?
誕生日おめでとう。何歳になったの。

Sato: Already 27.

Mō ni-jū nana yo.
もう27よ。

Michael: You mean only 27, right?
Mada ni-jū nana darō.
まだ27だろう。
