C Comparatives
In Hindi and Urdu there are no special separate forms like ‘bet-
ter’ or ‘best’ in English:
ravi ashōk se chhōTā hA ashōk ravi se chhōTā hA
Ravi is smaller than Ashok Ashok is smaller than Ravi
lit: Ravi Ashok than small is
is se sastā dikhāiye
can you show me some cheaper ones? HOW THE LANGUAGE WORKS
You can use zyādā (more, much) or kam (less) where no direct
comparison is made:
ye zyadā mahangā hA
this is more expensive
For the superlative sabse (above all) precedes the adjective:
ye sabse acchā hA
this is the best N
Demonstratives
Demonstrative adjectives and pronouns are the same:

When used with oblique case nouns, demonstratives take the
