The bay is washed by unusually long tides, which flow com
unimpeded over the smooth quicksand. The strong
spring tides can move at speeds of up to 10 kmh (6 mph). Transport
£ as far as Pontorson, then
by bus. h near the dam, then
take a shuttle bus.
