Street-by-Street: San Nazaro to Largo Augusto

There are many interesting old buildings in this area,
which includes the university quarter, with cafés and Sant’Antonio Abate
specialist bookshops, as well as crafts shops on Via was rebuilt in 1582.

3 . San Nazaro Maggiore
One of four basilicas founded by
Sant’Ambrogio, this church still has
some of the original 4th-century
masonry. It is preceded by the
Trivulzio Chapel, the only Milanese
architectural work by Bramantino Key
(1512–50). The view of the back
