                             BROTHERS IN ARMS
Fidel Castro and Che Guevara (far-left and centre) march
through the streets of Havana with fellow rebels. While the
rest of the revolutionaries wear military fatigues, Osvaldo
Dorticos Torrado looks out of place in his business suit.
Torrado had been an outspoken Marxist intellectual
arrested and exiled to Mexico during the Batista
years, but he was appointed Cuba’s first
                            post-revolution president by Castro.
