                        1 Comblain-au-Pont
         South of the Amblève’s scenic confluence with the
        River Ourthe are strange sculptures formed by hard
          dolomitic rock that has resisted erosion. Equally
           sculptural stalactites can be seen in Comblain’s
               Découvertes Mystères limestone caves.
        2 Château d’Amblève
        A walk across the river from Aywaille ends in
        a ruined cas tle linked to the steed Bayard
        legend (see p143).
