Krakow’s Best: Museums and Galleries
Krakow has dozens of museums, which are very
varied in character. The Royal Castle at Wawel offers
visitors the chance to see collections housed in the
royal chambers which date from the time when the
Polish kings resided here. The National Museum has
rich collections of Polish art housed in a number
of branches in the city centre. Schindler’s Factory

her portable Christmas
cribs, and the collection
housed here is of
great beauty.
Japanese Centre of Art and Technology
This modern building houses a collection
of works from the Far East, much of which
was donated by Feliks Manggha Jasieński.
The netsuke (a kind of button) shown
takes the form of a tiger.
