                                               High Altar
                                               The high altar was commissioned
                                               in 1649 by Piotr Gembicki, one
                                               of the most powerful bishops
                                               in 17th-century Krakow.

                                               This chapel is a mausoleum of the
                                               rulers of the Jagiellonian dynasty.
                                               Surmounted by a gilt dome, it
                                               is a Renaissance masterpiece.

                                 Remodelled in the 19th century, this
                                 chapel features The Crucifixion by the
                                17th-century Bolognese artist Giovanni
