The Zygmunt bell in the tower, cast in
1520, is the largest in Poland. It weighs Practical Information

High Altar
The high altar was commissioned
in 1649 by Piotr Gembicki, one
of the most powerful bishops
in 17th-century Krakow.
. Zygmunt Chapel
This chapel is a mausoleum of the
rulers of the Jagiellonian dynasty.
Surmounted by a gilt dome, it
is a Renaissance masterpiece.
Potocki Chapel
Remodelled in the 19th century, this
chapel features The Crucifixion by the
17th-century Bolognese artist Giovanni
Francesco Barbieri, “Il Guercino”.
