Moth

I f you leave a light on when you go to bed, you might find a

moth fluttering around it. Some people think the moth confuses
the bright glow of the bulb with the moon. Most moths fly at night

and use the moon to guide them.

Moths have many ways to avoid being eaten. Some pretend to be

dead leaves or bird poop. The comet moth has two long tails, each
about the length of a pencil, which attackers target instead of the

moth’s body. It is one of the largest moths in the world, but it only
lives for a few days. The males use their bushy antennae to smell

out a female before their time runs out.
