Stingray








                         W         ait a minute … is that two eyes staring at you from the



                                   ocean floor? Often the eyes of a stingray are the only

                         parts you can see. Stingrays’ round bodies are as flat as pancakes,
                         and they love to bury themselves in the sand. Above their long tail

                         are two spikes full of venom. However, rays don’t usually sting
                         humans, unless you step on one by mistake!


                         Blue-spotted ribbontail rays hunt small fish and crabs. The rays can
                         feel the tiny electrical pulses made by the muscles of their prey, which

                         means they’re able to find food even if it is hidden from view.
